Welcome to Class 3’s learning page where you can find out what year 5 and
year 6 pupils are up to! This half term we will be strolling Up the Garden Path
as we embrace our new topic. In Science we will be studying the life cycles
of different types of plants and carrying out various investigations to help
The Highwayman Poem by Alfred Noyes is going to be our focus in English. We will be looking at the language used to help us deduce information about the characters and key events and we will be using dramatic effect to perform the poem ourselves.
In Maths this half term we will be calculating with decimals and learning Roman numerals before moving onto algebra.
Mandarin will continue this term and the children will be having their weekly Mandarin lesson on a Thursday morning.
PE with Mr Wing and RE with Mrs Triggs will continue to be on a Tuesday afternoon and Brass is on Monday mornings. We also have cycling lessons and bikability booked in for this half term.
From 14th to 17th May the Year 6s will be sitting their SATs. The children are currently working extremely hard during booster sessions and we are very proud of the effort they are putting in and their attitudes towards them.
